Well, so. This is kind of a crash course and an explanation as to how the old-school analog synthesizers work including what exactly a "tone generator" is, as well as a "filter" an "envelope generator" and the "LFO". With actual sounds created by the synth, you can hear the difference between a sine wave, a square wave and a sawtooth wave, and what they sound like when filtered with a "low-pass filter" with various amounts of "resonance". There is also a quick run-through on how sound is captured with a microphone and re-created by a speaker as well as a quick description of what happens in a tape recorder. All in all, an information packed show that I can only hope is as informative as it it fun. Another big file- almost 20 MB.
